Women's tennis ends roadtrip with loss at Redlands

REDLANDS – UC Santa Cruz women's tennis closed their Los Angeles roadtrip with an 8-1 loss to No. 15 Redlands on Sunday afternoon.
It was the Banana Slugs' first visit to Redlands in five years. The hosts took the doubles matches, and then the first three singles matches in straight sets. Tanner Rowland won her match at No. 4 to grab a point for UC Santa Cruz. Rowland was up 3-1 in the second set when her opponent retired. Meghana Damojipurapu came back to take a set at No. 3 before dropping a hard-fought tiebreaker set to close the dual.

The Banana Slugs return to NorCal for the final regular season match when they visit Menlo College on Saturday.
