UC Santa Cruz Athletic History

UC Santa Cruz’s elite athletics history spans back over four decades. Since joining the NCAA Division III in 1980-81, our student-athletes have earned 253 All American awards, over 100 Academic All American honors, and have made 82 NCAA championship appearances. The awards listed here on this page are just a small part of the history that have made the Banana Slugs one of the most recognizable college programs in the United States and around the world.

This page is the most up-to-date record that we have regarding the history of our prestigious athletics program. It will be updated as we receive more honors.
