SANTA CRUZ, Ca. – On Friday morning, the UC Santa Cruz Athletics department announced the launch of the official UC Santa Cruz Athletics Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame comes as the department celebrates their 45th year with the NCAA Division III, recognizing the Banana Slugs who created a legacy of excellence and tradition in which we carry out today. The inaugural class of the Hall of Fame will honor 13 members from our history with the induction ceremony taking place at the La Bahia Hotel and Spa on April 24th, 2026. The UC Santa Cruz Athletics Hall of Fame celebrates individuals who have distinguished themselves in athletics as student-athletes, coaches, or staff members while representing the Banana Slugs and what it means to be a part of the UC Santa Cruz community.
