SAN ANTONIO - UC Santa Cruz fell 6-3 at No. 11 Trinity on Saturday to open their two-match swing through the Lone Star State.
The Banana Slugs started strong but dropped all three close doubles matches . The host Tigers then took the first four singles matches, including wins by two players ranked in the top ten of the West Region. The Banana Slugs however rallied to take the last two matches:
Aziz Albayouk won his fifth consecutive match of the Spring, a tough 6-4, 7-5 triumph at No. 6 and
Andrew Tjoa closed the dual by holding off Trinity's Rafa Ruiz at No. 5 with a tiebreaker win.
UC Santa Cruz closes the trip and regular season at Schreiner University on Sunday morning.
