SANTA CRUZ, Ca. – The UC Santa Cruz men's team dropped a 6-1 match to the No. 30 MIT Engineers on Monday afternoon. Hari Raghavan earned the lone point for the Slugs in the No. 6 spot while Rocco Melendez and Benjamin Wang earned a convincing 6-2 win in doubles at No. 1. The Banana Slugs will be back in action on March 27th with a match against Carthage College at 5:30pm PT.

- The Banana Slugs took a 6-2 victory on court one as Benjamin Wang and Rocco Melendez worked together for the dominant victory.
- Caden Wong and Spencer Hidas fell at No. 3 by way of a 6-1 scoreline. UCSC nearly took the doubles point with Peter Liang and Gavin Sontag dropped a closely contested 7-5 match at No. 2.
- At No. 1, Benjamin Wang fell 6-2, 6-2 while Gavin Sontag fell 7-5, 6-1 in the No. 2 spot.
- Rocco Melendez forced a three set match, eventually falling 6-3, 2-6, 7-5 in a tight match at No. 3.
- Peter Liang fell 6-4, 6-2 on court four while Caden Wong dropped his match 6-1, 7-5 at No. 5.
- Hari Raghavan earned the lone singles victory for UCSC, finishing 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 to claim a point for the Banana Slugs.
