PERSONAL: Parents are Maia and Ron Starling, brother is Gabriel Starling. Says his mom is his most influential person because "she worked really hard to make sure I could be where I am today."

He picked UCSC because "when I met my teammates, they were all super cool and are genuinely nice and caring people. I knew this was a team I wanted to be a part of and that I could think of as family."

Hobbies off the court include surfing, hanging with friends and teammates, hiking.
