SAN LUIS OBISPO- The Banana Slugs competed against many schools at the Mustang Invitational Track and Field Meet hosted at Cal Poly.

For the women, Ash Baudin and Riley Martel-Phillips placed third and fourth in the 1500-meter run with some of the fastest times in school history. Baudin finished in 4:37.59 and Martel-Phillips finished with a PR time of 4:38.23.

Chloe Solomua and Baudin both got new personal records in the Women's 400 Hurdles. Solomua placed 4th with a time of 1:07.38 and Baudin placed 6th with a time of 1:10.68.
Sophie Jimenez and Hanna Hekkanen both got new personal records in the Women's 400-meter run. Jimenez got a time of 1:03.14 placing 8th and Hekkanen placed 9th with a time of 1:05.34.

Bella Sarao got two new personal records in the Women's 100 Hurdles and in the Women's Long Jump. For the Hurdle, they got a time of 17.68 placing 8th. In the Long Jump, they got 4.39m (14' 5").

For the Men's 4x100 team, Ethan Bizzack, Levi Laden, Tyler Vo, and Jack Kibort all placed 2nd with a school-record time of 43.22. At the same time, the Women's 4x100 team, Amaya Cummins, Chloe Solomua, Kayla Galvez, and Caitlin Donovan all placed 3rd with a time of 49.91.

Eric Jackson placed 5th in the Men's 1500 run with a personal and school record time of 3:53.50. Sotirios Kougiouris and Drew Koesel both got two new personal records in the Men's 110 Hurdles, and in the 400 Hurdles run! Kougiouris in the 110 hurdles got a time of 16.26 placing 3rd and then for the 400 Hurdles, placed 4th with a time of 59.36. Koesel placed 4th in the Men's 110 Hurdles with a time of 16.32 and got 2nd place for the Men's 400 Hurdles with a time of 57.13.

Ansh Singh, Cole Pena, and Rowan Davis all got new PRs in the Men's 200 Meter dash. Singh got a time of 24.45, Pena got a time of 23.90, and Davis got a time of 24.09. Vo and Kibort both got new personal records in the Men's 100-meter dash. Vo placed 8th with a time of 11.09 and Kibort placed 7th with a time of 11.08.

Other standouts with new personal records included:

Whitney Porter set new personal records in the Women's Discus Throw and in the Shot Put. In the Discus, Porter got 32.61m (107' 0") placing 5th, and in the Shot Put, she got 10.42m (34' 2.25") placing 4th.
Bizzack got a new PR in the Men's 400 meter run with a time of 49.60 placing 5th and setting the school record..
Armon Gorgani got a new personal record for the Men's Pole Vault, clearing 4.07m (13' 4.25") and placing 5th.
Manogya Yara got a new PR in the Men's 400 Hurdles. Yara got 1st place with a time of 56.50.
Isha Kasanagottu placed 9th in the Women's 100 Hurdles with a time of 17.82.
Joceline Ortega-Garcia received a new PR in the Women's Long Jump placing 1st with 6.23m (20' 5.25").
Frieda Cedillo placed 5th in the Women's 800 runs with a time of 2:26.14.
