
Hofstetter, Kim, and Stanciu Set for 2026 NCAA Track and Field Championships

SANTA CRUZ, Ca. – On Friday evening, the NCAA announced this year's official qualifiers list for the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships. This year's Championships will take place from May 21 through May 23 at the Veteran's Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, Wisconsin and will feature Evan Hofstetter, Nia Kim, and Elena Stanciu.

Evan Hofstetter earned his second NCAA Outdoor Track and Field qualification after dropping a stellar 6,894 points at the 2026 Byran Clay Multi Event on April 9-10. Hofstetter enters the weekend with the fourth best score in the country. Hofstetter earned All-American honors during the Indoor Championships in the heptathlon.

Nia Kim is making her NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship debut in her first season with the Banana Slugs. Kim earned Second Team All-American honors during the Indoor Pentathlon and will compete in the heptathlon this weekend. Kim earned her spot at this year's Championships with a 4,836 point performance at the 2026 Bryan Clay Multi Event earlier this year. Kim's score stands as the 10th best mark heading into the weekend with 14 competitors having scored at least 4800 points this year.

Elena Stanciu is set to make her Outdoor Track and Field Championship debut after a stellar All-American performance in the Indoor Mile along with a strong outdoor season. Stanciu earned her spot with a 4:27.06 at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic on April 4th, standing as the 12th fastest 1500m in the country.
