CLAREMONT- UC Santa Cruz came up short on the second day of the ITA West Regional. Two Banana Slug teams lost in the Quarterfinal Round of the Doubles Tournament. Both teams were aiming to be the first Santa Cruz duo to reach the ITA Semifinals since 2018.

Ryan Lam and Praneet Varade lost their match 8-6 to Caltech's Wen and McCandless. Sam Hall and Jason You also lost by the same score to Pomona duo Lumba and Feng.

The only Banana Slug playing singles on Saturday was Lucas Chen in the Flight A consolation. He lost to Warren Pham of CMS in straight sets.
