
Men's Tennis Falls to No. 13 Mary Washington in C2C Semifinal

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The UC Santa Cruz men's tennis team fell 4-0 to the No. 13 University of Mary Washington Eagles in Friday's Coast-to-Coast Men's Tennis Conference Semifinal. The Banana Slugs will be back in action tomorrow at 10am ET to take on Salisbury in the third place match.

Doubles:
- Darren Ignatius and Adam Kahn were the first to fall in doubles, dropping their match 6-1 at No. 3.
- Gavin Sontag and Caden Wong later fell 6-2 in the No. 2 spot, concluding doubles play with Rocco Melendez and Benjamin Wang's match at No. 1 going unfinished with the duo trailing 5-3.
- Gavin Sontag dropped a 6-2, 6-3 match at No. 2 with Benjamin Wang finishing shortly after, going down 6-4, 6-0 on court No. 1.
- Peter Liang later fell 6-3, 6-3 at court No. 6, giving UMW the 4-0 victory.
- Caden Wong's match at No. 5 went unfished, falling 6-3 in set one while holding a 5-4 lead in set two. Hari Raghavan also went unfinished at No. 4, trailing 7-5, 1-0.
- Rocco Melendez ended the day at No. 3 with an incomplete match as well, falling 7-6 in set one while holding a 4-1 lead in the second set.
