Wang and Sonntag Earn C2C All-Conference Honors

SANTA CRUZ, Ca. – On Friday morning, the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference announced the 2026 Men's Tennis All-Conference Teams. Among this year's honorees for UC Santa Cruz were juniors Benjamin Wang and Gavin Sonntag, both earning honors from singles play.

Wang earned his third-straight First Team nod, picking up First Team selections in the 2024 and 2025 seasons while Gavin Sonntag earned his first career honor, landing a Second Team selection. Benjamin Wang locked down court No. 1 all season while Gavin Sonntag held down the No. 2 spot for the Banana Slugs.

Wang went 12-12 in No. 1 singles in the spring, going 7-3 in his last 10 matches. Sonntag also went 12-12 in singles, playing in the No. 2 spot, finishing the end of season with a 7-2 record in April and May.
