Alexa grew up in the Bay Area and graduated from UC Davis with a B.A. in Sociology. She played competitive soccer growing up but stopped after high school due to burnout. After finding her way back to soccer as a youth coach, she realized the significance and impact of the mental side of the game. She decided to return to school and pursue her master's degree in Sport Psychology in order to help athletes perform optimally and achieve their goals.
Alexa is now in the second phase of the Sport Psychology program at National University’s JFK School of Psychology. She is entering her second internship with the Slugs and is excited to work with Coach Amy, Coach Jack, Assistant Coach Sav and the rest of the team.
