UC Santa Cruz Success:
  • 2024:
    • Appeared in 76 sets with 146 kills, 20 assists, 12 service aces, 115 digs, and 20 total blocks. Season-high 15 kills versus Dominican (IL). 
  • 2022:
    • Finished with 38 kills, 31 digs and 9 aces playing 18 matches his freshman year in 2022. Season-high 11 kills on 17 swings in a sweep over Millikin on March 26. Season-high six digs on Feb. 6 at Wisconsin Lutheran. Delivered three aces on Jan. 29 against Concordia (Wisc.)

HIGH SCHOOL: MVP at American International School of Johannesburg. All Star ISSEA, (International Schools of Southern and Eastern Africa)

PERSONAL: Son of  Wilmer and Constanza Espinoza. Siblings are Andres and Alicia. Calls his parents the most influential people in his life because "they molded me into the person I am today. Without them I don’t know what I’d do." He picked UCSC because "I wanted to keep perusing volleyball, and I also love the area."
Off the court enjoys spikeball and basketball,  playing video games and hanging out with friends.
