High School: Gino graduated from Bishop Alemany HS in southern California in 2013. While at Bishop Alemany High he received Most Improved Award (2012), Player of the Year (2013), and 1st Team All League (2013) while earning three varsity letters for Volleyball.

Personal: He is the son of Gino and Marlene Gamboa. He has one sibling, Bruno. During his free time he enjoys Beach Volleyball, magic, and glass blowing.
