SANTA CRUZ, Ca. -For the Winter 2026 quarter the Athletics & Recreation Department will once again reimburse up to 25 currently enrolled students $500 each who complete a basic/open water SCUBA certification. The course may be taken one time with any SCUBA dive shop of the student's choice in the state of California. This reimbursement will be approved for SCUBA course fees from a certifying agency approved by WRSTC (such as NAUI, PADI, SDI, or SSI), and dive gear rental only.
In order to qualify for reimbursement the course and forms must be fully completed between the first and last day of the quarter. The fall quarter begins on Monday, January 5 and ends on Friday, March 20. The reimbursements will be issued on a first come first served basis, and the deadline to initiate a reimbursement is Friday, March 20, 2026.
