Community Membership
Community Membership gives you access to our sailing and rowing fleet during regular club hours.
Once you’ve completed the required boat checkout and received staff approval, you can check out designated vessels and enjoy time on the water.
Choose from quarterly or annual membership options to find the plan that works best for you.
Membership includes access to designated fleet vessels during club hours. Additional fees may apply for guests, equipment, and certain services.
Club Hours
Friday: 4:00–7:00 PM*
Saturday: 12:00–7:00 PM
Sunday: 12:00–7:00 PM
*Friday hours are available during Daylight Saving Time.
Membership Options
- UCSC Students: $69 per quarter
- Community Members: $241 per quarter
- Community Annual Membership: $696 per year
- Family Memberships: First member pays full price; additional family members are 50% off

Important Things to Know Before Getting on the Water
Before using our boats:
- Complete a boat checkout — Pass the written and practical checkout with a staff member. See boat check page for more details.
- Get approved — An instructor or dockmaster must approve you to use the boats on your own.
- Get a California Boater Card — If you’re required to have one, make sure it’s current.
- Know the Club Rules — Take a few minutes to review the rules and safety expectations.
- Check the Google Group — Look for checkout dates, updates, and other important information.
Once you’ve completed these steps, you’ll be ready to get on the water!
All keelboat skippers are required by California law to have their California Boater's Card with them while sailing.
