Caden Breznikar also had double figures as UC Santa Cruz held off Pratt's comeback in a 67-58 quarterfinal win in the 2024 Coast-To-Coast (C2C) men's basketball tournament.

UC Santa Cruz improved to 11-14 on the season and made the Conference Semifinals for the third year in a row.

After a close first half, the Banana Slugs closed with an 11-2 run to make their lead 35-24 at halftime.
Ian McCloskey got the last two buckets on the run, including a floater at the buzzer.

The second half opened with the same momentum, with
Zino Okah hitting a three from the wing and another McCloskey layup making it a 40-24 lead with two minutes left in the half. After the Cannoneers rallied and cut the deficit to four (51-47, 6:42),
Ryan Wilson's free-throw started an 8-0 run which put the Banana Slug lead back to 12 at 59-47 with 3:37 left. Pratt twice got within six points, but the Banana Slugs made stops and closed out the game going 11-14 on free-throws over the last 3:37 to see out the win.

Keating finished with season-highs of 15 points and 15 rebounds. Breznikar added 10 points. Okah added 10 rebounds to go with nine points and a team-high three assists. Overall, UC Santa Cruz had a 54-37 rebounding advantage and held the Cannoneers to just 3-23 (13%) from long range.

The Banana Slugs now advance to Friday's semifinal against defending C2C Champion Christopher Newport at 2:00 pm Pacific.
