SANTA CRUZ, CA – The UC Santa Cruz men's basketball team secured a thrilling 67-64 victory over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps at Kaiser Permanente Arena. A clutch three-pointer by Andrew Ferrara-Jones in the closing seconds, followed by a defensive stop, sealed the win for the Banana Slugs in a nail-biting finish.
How It Happened
The game remained close throughout, with both teams trading leads in an intense back-and-forth battle. UCSC's balanced scoring attack and timely shooting kept them competitive against a resilient Claremont-Mudd-Scripps squad.
Ferrara-Jones led UCSC with 17 points, including the decisive three-pointer, while Zino Okah added 14 points, and Ryan Wilson contributed 13 points to round out the top scorers.
The Banana Slugs showcased impressive efficiency, shooting 47% from the field and an identical 47% from beyond the arc as a team.
