
Track and Field uses depth well at Stanislaus Invite

TURLOCK, CA- It was PR after PR as the Banana Slugs competed at the Stanislaus State Invitational Track and Field meet's final day. The Slugs did an outstanding job while also achieving new personal records!
Distance
In the Women's 400-meter run, Kayla Galvez and Arabella Edler both got new personal records. Galvez got a time of 1:03.49, her last record was 1:05.19 at the Portland Indoor #2 meet. Edler got a time of 1:06.46, last record was 1:06.81 at the Johnny Mathis Track and Field Meet.

For the Women's 800 Meter Run, Frieda Cedilo did an outstanding job and placed 6th while also getting a new personal record of 2:27.12. Her last personal record was at the Aggie Open meet with a time of 2:32.78.

First-Years Diego Vizcarra and Nathaniel Chang both got new personal records in the Men's 1500-meter run. Vizcarra got a time of 4:14.77 was a five-second improvement from the Aggie Open. Chang's time was 4:19.67, his last personal record was 4:21.92 also at the Aggie Open.

Sprint
Isha Kasanagottu, Joceline Ortega-Garcia, Alicia Dasalla, and Alex Kaplan all achieved new personal records in the Women's 100-meter dash. Kasanagottu had a time of 13.45, the last record was 13.54 at the Fanelli Classic. Ortega-Garcia has a new PR with a time of 13.78, last record was also at the Fanelli Class with a time of 13.93. Dasalla got a time of 13.96, last record was 13.97 at the Aggie Open. Kaplan's new PR with a time of 14.16, the last record was 14.41 at the Fanelli Classic.

For the Men's 100-meter run, Jack Kibort and Tyler Vo both achieved new personal records with two of the fastest runs in school history. Kibort got a new PR with a time of 11.22 and Vo got a new PR with a time of 11.27.

In the Women's 200-meter dash, Kayla Galvez, Isha Kasanagottu, and Joceline Ortega-Garcia all got new PR's. Galvez placed 8th and got a time of 27.91, and Kasanagottu placed 9th with a time of 28.98. Ortega got a time of 28.49, the last record being 29.34 at the Aggie Open meet.

Lastly,  Kibort,  Vo, James Contini, and Armon Gorgani all achieved new personal records for the Men's 200-meter dash. Kibort's new PR is 22.38, which tied the school record Vo's new PR is 22.95, Contini's new PR is 23.41, and Gorgani's new PR is 25.82.

Jumps
In the Women's Triple Jump, Alex Kaplan achieved a new personal record and cleared 10.01m placing 5th. Their last personal record was 9.88m at the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference Indoor Championships.
