
Track and Field participates in Last Chance Meet at Chabot College

Several PRs set in penultimate action of the outdoor season
HAYWARD - UC Santa Cruz traveled to Hayward to compete in the West Coast Last Chance meet at Chabot College.
The Banana Slugs brought a full team to get good competition against local Division I schools for a chance to earn higher NCAA and Regional rankings.
Highlights for the women included Riley Martel Phillips with PRs in both the 800m (2:25.13) and 1500m (4:39.13).
Chloe Solomua won the 200m with a PR of 26.79. Sophia Cervantes Llamas had a PR in the 400m in 1:01.13. It was the fastest time for a Banana Slug this season and third-best all-time mark in school history. Senior Abby Twoy had her debut in the 3000m, finishing in 11:40.90.
For the men, Ethan Bizzack unofficially broke his school record in the 200m with a runner-up time of 22.29. Cole Pena turned in a PR of 23.54 for sixth place without an official wind speed indicated. Carson Nagel was runner-up in the 400m with a PR of 52.20. Eric Anderson was runner-up in the 800m in 1:53.16, while Aaron Hillberg was third 0.17 seconds after and Holden Spencer was fourth in 1:53.94.
Walter Teitelbaum hit PRs in both the 800m (1:58.42) and the 1500m (3:57.08). Super Senior Sean Riedel hit a PR in the 5000m with a time of 15:10.79 in his final collegiate race.
UC Santa Cruz is scheduled to take a squad down o Redlands this week for the Bulldog Last Chance Invite.
