Persistent lighting accompanying storms in the area caused the cancelation of UC Santa Cruz's visit to Pomona-Pitzer.
The teams cleared the field after about 17 minutes were played as a precaution after lightning struck nearby the Pomona campus.
However the lightning kept happening, leading to the decision to cancel the game after about an hour. Because the game didn't reach the minimum amount of minutes, the game is ruled a No-Contest and will not be rescheduled.
UC Santa Cruz next plays on Tuesday when they host Dominican as part of a double-header with the women's team.
