Men's Soccer Earns Three First Team All-C2C Selections

11/5/2025 10:30:00 AM

SANTA CRUZ, Ca. – This morning, the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference announced the 2025 Men's Soccer All-Conference awards and the Banana Slugs were honored with three First Team All-C2C.

Leading the way for UC Santa Cruz was the team's leading scorer, Soren Groessl, who finished the regular season with eight goals and two assists, good for 18 points on the year. Groessl appeared in all 16 games and made 12 starts for UC Santa Cruz. Last season Groessl earned Second Team honors and doubled his offensive performance this year to garner a First Team nod.

Jackson Chandler earned First Team All-C2C honors after a stellar senior year with the Slugs, adding three goals and two assists to the team's stat sheet. The senior midfielder was a catalyst in all 16 games for the team's well-paced play and efforts through the midfield. Chandler worked well on both sides of the ball to help limit chances for opponents, helping the backline hold teams to under 10 shots per game. Michael Braun rounded out UCSC's All-Conference selections, picking up First Team All-C2C accolades with three goals on the year. The duo of Braun and Chandler both played in over 1,000 minutes on the year. Braun also worked well on both sides of the ball to contribute to a strong defensive unit that held teams scoreless on seven occasions throughout the team's 9-6-1 regular season.
