Men's Soccer splits weekend matches

The UCSC Men's Soccer team split its two matches this weekend, running its record to 11-4-2.

On Friday, the team was upset at Chapman, 1-0. Junior Midfielder Kevin Anderson had 8 shots, but UCSC couldn't find the net and Chapman's Scott Ross scored the game winner with two minutes left in regulation. UCSC Goalkeeper Daniel Chamberlain had two saves.

Anderson would come up big for UCSC again at Cal Lutheran on Sunday, scoring the unassisted game winner in a 1-0 victory for the Banana Slugs.

The team's next match will come this Saturday at CSU Hayward. Start time is set at 1:00 PM. The team's final regular season match will come on November 2nd at home against Holy Names. Match time is set for 2:00 PM.
