
Women's Tennis Falls to No. 21 Colorado College

FRISCO, Tx. – The UC Santa Cruz women's tennis team fell to No. 21 Colorado College 6-1 on Thursday evening. UCSC was able to claim the doubles point with victories at the No. 1 and No. 2 spot but fell short in singles as the Tigers claimed all six matches.

Doubles:
- Veronica Miller and Emily Belezzuoli fell at No. 3 6-2, but Chloe Wu and Lucy Yung tied doubles with a 6-4 victory in the No. 1 spot.
- UC Santa Cruz later claimed the doubles point after a 7-5 win at No. 2 with Meleja Horelick and Chloe Khachadourian working well to secure the win.
- Chloe Wu dropped a 6-1, 6-2 match at No. 1 while Emily Belezzuoli fell 6-0, 6-2 in the No. 5 spot.
- Chloe Khachadourian fell 6-2, 6-1 in the No. 4 spot while Veronia Miller had a competitive match at No. 6, falling 6-1, 6-7 (7-5) in a narrow tiebreaker in the second set.
- Lucy Yung also had a competitive match, falling 7-6 (8-6), 6-2 at No. 2 with a hard fought tiebreaker in the first set.
- Meleja Horelick dropped her match at No. 3 6-1, 6-2 to close out the day for UCSC.
