Women's Tennis Opens Fall Tournaments in Stockton

STOCKTON, Calif – The UC Santa Cruz women's tennis team opened the 2026-27 season and fall contests at the Central Valley Clash, competing against UC Davis and University of the Pacific. Up next, they will compete at the ITA West Regionals starting on Friday, Oct. 2.

Sept. 25th, 2026
Doubles

Chloe Wu and Lucy Yung fell to open up doubles versus Pacific with an 8-0 loss.
Chloe Khachadourian and Alicia DeWitt dropped a set with a score of 8-1.
Kimmy Conlin and Abigail Eao lost in an 8-1 set score.
Adeline Lai and Ella Fuchs dropped the third 8-1 set loss for the Banana Slugs.
Veronica Miller and Maria Gurchumelidze lost in an 8-3 set battle to earn the most games won in a set of doubles for UCSC.

Singles:

Chloe Wu fell in the opening singles match in two sets at 6-2, 6-1 to Elim Yan.
Lucy Yung was defeated in two sets with set scores of 6-0 and 6-2.
Abigail Eao lost in two sets at 6-0 and 6-1 to Aileena Hu.
Chloe Khachadourian fell in the opening set 6-0 but fought hard in the second set in a 6-3 set loss.
Kimmy Conlin dropped both sets in 6-1 scores to Lyla van Loben Sels.
Ella Fuchs opened the tournament in a 6-3 set loss to Eva Wang and dropped the second set 6-0.
Alicia DeWitt's original opponent withdrew, so she moved to face a new Tiger and secured 6-1 and 6-0 set wins.
Adeline Lai fell in both sets in 6-0 losses.
Veronica Miller lost in two sets with 6-1 scores in both.
First year athlete Maria Gurchumelidze opened her career in 6-0 and 6-1 set losses.

Doubles:

Chloe Wu and Lucy Yung loss in an 8-5 battle to open day two of doubles.
Chloe Khachadourian and Abigail Eao dropped an 8-3 set loss.
Kimmy Conlin and Alicia DeWitt were swept 8-0 in their doubles set.
Veronica Miller and Adeline Lai closed out dropped sets for UCSC with an 8-2 loss.
Maria Gurchumelidze and Ella Fuchs won the only doubles set for the Banana Slugs with an 8-5 set victory.
