CHICAGO, Il. - The women's tennis team of UC Santa Cruz took on North Park University and
came out victorious with a 7-0 sweep, earned from dominating singles match performances. The
Banana Slugs take on North Central College next in Illinois.

Doubles:

Doubles No.1 for UCSC Chloe Wu and Lucy Yung put up an impressive set, only

dropping the first point and rallying to defeat their opponent 6-1.

Doubles No. 2 for the Banana Slugs Meleja Horelick and Chloe Khachadourian swept

their opponents 6-0 to earn UCSC the doubles point.

Singles:

In the No. 6 spot, Alicia Dewitt put down a dominating 6-0, 6-0 sweep which

complemented Lucy Yung's 6-1, 6-0 match in the No. 2 seat.

Chloe Wu went into a tiebreaker with her opponent, after having a dominant 6-1 set, then

being offset 4-7 set, closely followed by a dominant 10-4.

After winning the doubles point, Meleja Horelick put up an impressive 6-2, 6-2 victory

over her opponent.
