AUSTIN, Texas – The UC Santa Cruz women's tennis team finished their weekend opener with two victories, defeating Schreiner University 7-0 on Sunday morning before topping Concordia Texas 6-1 on Monday in Austin. The Banana Slugs will return to Santa Cruz to host Sewanee on March. 6 at 12pm.

UC Santa Cruz 7, Schreiner 0

Doubles:

· The Banana Slugs swept doubles play to claim the point. Chloe Wu and Lucy Yung cruised to a 6-0 victory at No. 1 doubles while Alicia DeWitt and Chloe Khachadourian won 6-1 at No. 2. Callie Tzab and Emily Belezzuoli completed the sweep with a 6-1 win at No. 3.

Singles:

· UCSC dominated singles action, winning all six matches in straight sets. No. 1 Chloe Wu won 6-1, 6-2, while No. 2 Lucy Yung cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 victory. No. 3 Chloe Khachadourian won 6-3, 6-, 2 while No. 4 Alicia DeWitt and No. 5 Meleja Horelick both posted 6-0, 6-0 victories. No. 6 Adeline Lai wrapped up the shutout with a 6-2, 6-1 win.
