
Slugs Perform Well on Day Three of PCSC Championships

LOS ANGELES, Ca. – The UC Santa Cruz women's swim and dive team swam well on day three of the PCSC Championships, building on their second place position with 891 points, setting up an exciting final day of action.

- 500 Free: Paiten Tobey and Heather O'Brien took 14th and 18th after turning in 5:10.07 and 5:13.57 performances.
- 100 Back: Siena Ancona took seventh overall with a time of 57.45 seconds while Medha Raguraman, Hannah Love, and Kaitlyn Armstrong took 11th, 13th, and 16th with the trio swimming 57.46s, 57.99s, and 58.69s.
- 100 Breast: Lily Wolfinger led the way for UC Santa Cruz in the 100 breast, setting the program record with a time of 1:03.67 with Sadie Breen and Namya Sarup taking sixth and seventh in 1:04.32 and 1:05.20. Maya Chan took 12th in 1:06.76.
- 200 Fly: Katy Hawk took eighth overall with a time of 2:08.76 while Kirsten Boyle and Maya Garcia-Hale took 10th and 12th with times of 2:08.44 and 2:10.32.
- 200 Medley Relay: Raghuraman, Wolfinger, Boyle, and Armstrong combined for a 1:45.76 to take fourth place overall. The Slugs also raced a strong B relay with Madison Stein, Zoe Ma, Sophia Saldana, and Phoebe Jaggers combing for a 1:48.52 which is the sixth fastest time of the day.
