
Banana Slugs Finish as PCSC Runner Up In Historic Run at ELAC

LOS ANGELES, Ca. – The UC Santa Cruz women's swim and dive team earned a Runner Up finish at the 2026 PCSC Conference Championship, earning their highest finish in program history at the meet with 1301 points. Paige Vicente earned Diver of the Meet honors in her freshmen debut with dive coach Ariel Rittenhouse earning Diving Coach of the Year honors.

- 1 Meter Dive: First year Paige Vicente continued to be a standout performer for the Banana Slugs, claiming the 1 meter dive crown with Briseis Valenzuela taking second place.
- 1650 Free: Paiten Tobey took seventh overall with a time of 18:00.29 while Ruby Sanchez, Piper Strickler, and Hannah Love went 12-13-14.
- 100 Free: Katy Hawk led the way for the Slugs in the 100 free, touching the wall in 51.64 seconds.
- 200 Back: Hanna Love finished the 200 back in 2:05.10 to take fifth place with Siena Ancona taking eighth in 2:07.10.
- 200 Breast: Lily Wolfinger swam her way to a program record, fighting to a 2:18.61 to take second place while Namya Sarup took fourth in 2:19.26. Kirsten Boyle and Maya Chan took seventh and eighth in 2:21.96 and 2:22.92 with Sadie Breen finishing in 10th with a time of 2:23.68.
- 400 Free Relay: UC Santa Cruz closed out the meet with a fourth place performance in the 400 free relay as Katy Hawk, Maya Chan, Kirsten Boyle, and Kaitlyn Armstrong combined for a time of 3:29.91.
