ORANGE, Ca. – The UC Santa Cruz women's swim and dive team swept their Southern California road trip, defeating Whittier College on Thursday at the Lillian Slade Aquatics Center before outperforming Chapman University to end their trip on Friday at the Zee Allred Aquatics Center. The Slugs perform next in the PCSC Championship in Monterey Park, CA, on Wednesday, February 11th, through Saturday, February 14th.

200 Medley Relay: The Banana Slugs swept the top three spots, with the B relay of Kaitlyn Armstrong, Lily Wolfinger, Fiona Lei, and Phoebe Jaggers taking first in 1:48.16.
1000 Free: Sadie Breen led UCSC with a second-place finish in 10:50.81. Paiten Tobey finished third at 10:55.82.
200 Free: Piper Stickler led a UCSC sweep of the top four spots, winning in 1:59.16. Heather O'Brien (1:59.46), Erin Gidley (2:02.91), and Hannah Love (2:03.83) followed.
100 Back: Siena Ancona won in 59.88 seconds. Kirsten Boyle (1:00.79), Sophia Saldana (1:01.61), and Fiona Lei (1:02.17) swept the top four.
100 Breast: Lily Wolfinger claimed first place with a time of 1:06.21. Maya Garcia-Hale (1:10.51) and Jolie Mosack (1:13.89) finished third and fourth.
50 Free: Katy Hawk won the sprint in 24.05 seconds. Phoebe Jaggers (24.75) and Medha Raghuraman (25.30) finished second and fourth.
1m Dive: Briseis Valenzuela took first place with a score of 266.85 points. Paige Vicente (264.45), Taylor O'Malley (257.50), and Clara Gerlach (227.60) swept the top four.
100 Free: Jadyn Chaffins won the event in 54.18 seconds. Fiona Lei (55.08), Heather O'Brien (55.94), and Paiten Tobey (56.42) took second through fourth.
200 Back: Kaitlyn Armstrong claimed victory in 2:12.65. Maddy Stein (2:13.82) and Sophia Saldana (2:17.32) finished second and third.
200 Breast: Kirsten Boyle led UCSC in third at 2:28.53. Maya Chan (2:29.12) and Jolie Mosack (2:38.18) finished fourth and fifth.
500 Free: Katy Hawk won her second individual event in 5:10.60. Maya Garcia-Hale (5:19.91), Piper Stickler (5:22.87), and Hannah Love (5:34.49) took second through fourth.
100 Fly: Siena Ancona posted the only sub-60 second time, winning in 59.80 seconds. Medha Raghuraman finished second at 1:01.08.
3m Dive: Paige Vicente took first place with 290.05 points. Briseis Valenzuela (259.70), Taylor O'Malley (251.25), and Clara Gerlach (204.30) took second, third, and fifth.
400 IM: Lily Wolfinger dominated the event, winning in 4:41.65. Sadie Breen (4:53.19) and Namya Sarup (4:55.56) finished second and third.
400 Free Relay: The UCSC A relay of Katy Hawk, Medha Raghuraman, Heather O'Brien, and Kaitlyn Armstrong closed out the meet with a win in 3:37.66.

200 Medley Relay: The Banana Slugs took the top two spots, with the B relay of Maddy Stein, Lily Wolfinger, Fiona Lei, and Phoebe Jaggers winning in 1:46.33. The A relay of Medha Raghuraman, Namya Sarup, Kirsten Boyle, and Katy Hawk finished second at 1:47.11.
1000 Free: Ruby Sanchez won the event in 10:50.87. Piper Stickler (10:52.88), Hannah Love (11:02.14), and Erin Gidley (11:05.32) swept the top four spots.
200 Free: Katy Hawk claimed victory in 1:55.18. Heather O'Brien (1:57.59), Paiten Tobey (1:58.06), and Jadyn Chaffins (2:00.82) swept the top four.
100 Back: Siena Ancona won in 58.25 seconds, leading a UCSC sweep of the top four spots. Medha Raghuraman (58.94), Maddy Stein (59.47), and Kaitlyn Armstrong (59.80) followed.
100 Breast: Lily Wolfinger won the event in 1:05.62. Namya Sarup (1:06.74), Maya Chan (1:07.21), and Sadie Breen (1:08.40) took second, third, and fifth.
200 Fly: Maya Garcia-Hale claimed victory in 2:09.84. Kirsten Boyle finished second at 2:12.93.
50 Free: Fiona Lei led UCSC in third at 25.14. Tessa Garvey Miller (25.41) and Maddy Stein (25.45) took fifth and sixth.
1m Dive: Briseis Valenzuela took first place with 253.90 points. Paige Vicente (238.00), Taylor O'Malley (233.30), and Clara Gerlach (219.65) swept the top four.
100 Free: Katy Hawk won the event in 52.26 seconds. Phoebe Jaggers (53.73), Jadyn Chaffins (54.04), and Medha Raghuraman (54.83) took third through sixth.
200 Back: Siena Ancona earned her second win, finishing in 2:06.96. Hannah Love took second at 2:07.32.
200 Breast: Maya Chan won the event in 2:24.62. Lily Wolfinger (2:25.70), Namya Sarup (2:26.49), and Sadie Breen (2:29.69) took second, third, and fifth.
500 Free: Heather O'Brien claimed victory in 5:16.13. Paiten Tobey (5:19.00), Erin Gidley (5:21.35), Ruby Sanchez (5:21.41), and Piper Stickler (5:24.85) swept the top five.
100 Fly: Fiona Lei won in 58.83 seconds, narrowly edging teammate Kirsten Boyle (58.84). Siena Ancona (59.99) and Sophia Saldana (1:00.47) finished fourth and fifth.
3m Dive: Paige Vicente took first place with 245.60 points. Taylor O'Malley (240.65), Briseis Valenzuela (236.95), and Clara Gerlach (182.65) swept the top four.
200 IM: Maya Chan won the event in 2:09.49. Maya Garcia-Hale (2:11.04) and Lily Wolfinger (2:11.89) rounded out the top three.
