REDLANDS (3-29)—UC Santa Cruz men's tennis had their win streak broken in a 4-0 loss to No. 21 Redlands on Friday night.
Using amended college rules similar to Division I, the dual match was a "best-of-seven" format with the three doubles counting as one point. The duo of Benjamin Wang and Ryan Lam won 6-4 at No. 2 for their fourth consecutive doubles win.
However, the match finished after the Bulldogs took the three singles wins needed to clinch. The Banana Slugs finish their roadtrip on Saturday when they face Occidental in a doubleheader with the women's team.
