BEAUMONT, CA-- UC Santa Cruz women's golf took nine strokes off their first round team score to finish eighth at the Redlands Fall Invite at the Morongo Tukwet Golf Course.
The Banana Slugs finished with a score of 641.
Alyssa Yee finished 19th after a two-day score of 157 (13-over). Yee shot a 76 in Tuesday's second round with five birdies.
Jiya Dalal continued her awesome first year as a Banana Slug with a score of 158 to place 21st.
Elana McGrew improved by seven strokes from the first round to finish 25th with a score of 161.
Mikaela Paracuelles was 42nd with a 169,
Tani Ng was 43rd with a 171 and
Isabella Esquivel was 47th with 176. Fourth-ranked and host Redlands took the team title with a score of 589, holding off runner-up Embry Riddle by five strokes.
UC Santa Cruz finish their Fall Season next week when they fly out to Texas to take part in the Mary Hardin Baylor Legends Cup.
