PACIFIC GROVE, Ca. – The UC Santa Cruz women's golf team wrapped up their 2025 UC Santa Cruz Invite at the Pacific Grove Golf Links with a seventh place finish on Sunday afternoon, shooting +24 on Day One and +50 on Day Two. The +74 team score had the Banana Slugs just four strokes off sixth place Whitworth and nine strokes of fifth place Cal Lutheran. Teams had to fight through roaring winds throughout much of the course, making Day Two especially challenging along the coastline on the back nine.
 
The Banana Slugs led the field with two eagles on the weekend with Adeline Truong recording one in today's round on the ninth hole with Samantha Shaw recording one in Round One on hole nine as well.
 
Overall, Samantha Shaw was the standout for UC Santa Cruz, earning a ninth place finish after shooting a 79, jumping up four spots after ending Day One in 13th with a 75. Olivia Led and Adeline Truong both turned in top 30 finishes with the pair both shooting 83 with Lew taking 25th and Truong finishing in 28th. Jiya Dalal rounded out the top four for UCSC, finishing in 45th after recording an 89.
 
Alyssa Castellanos finished closely behind, turning in an 82 to take 49th overall. Lauren Silva and Brisa Trollinger finished the weekend in 61st and 67th, shooting 84 and 88, respectively. Elena McGrew and Isabella Esquivel finished in 72nd and 76th after shooting 94 and 100.
