EAGLE ROCK (3-29) - UC Santa Cruz dropped a dual at Occidental College 6-3.
The Tigers took four of the six singles matches to win. After Natalie Sprenger win in straight sets at No. 3, three of the matches went to a tie-breaker, with the Tigers edging the Banana Slugs in all three. The other singles win - and only three-set win- was by Daniela Christian at No. 6, who stayed undefeated in the Spring.
"I'm proud of the way the Slugs fought today regardless of the outcome," said Interim Coach Jack Ventura-Cruess. "It is a performance that the Slugs can build on."Â
