Amanda Scott scored halfway through the first half and that was all the Banana Slugs needed in a 1-0 victory over NAIA opponent Menlo College in Atherton.
With the victory, the Banana Slugs improved to 3-1-1.
Scott's goal came with 22:50 left in the first half on a clean-up shot from the top of the box. The best chance to double the lead came in the 39th minute when substitute
Arianna LePage sent her shot off the crossbar, and
Dana Depiero did the same off the rebound a few seconds later.
The Oaks had a 16-12 advantage in shots.

Alyssa Diaz-Tucker had a season-high seven saves to earn the shutout, the 15th of her college career. She's now seventh in school history in career saves with 108.
The Banana Slugs return to the pitch on Tuesday as they take on William Jessup University in Rocklin. Kickoff is set for 4 pm.
