UC Santa Cruz finishes second overall in C2C Commissioner's Cup Standings

UC Santa Cruz finished second overall in the Coast-To-Coast Conference's all-sports competition for 2021-22. the conference announced on Thursday.
It is UC Santa Cruz's first full year in the league that was formed from the merger of the American Collegiate Athletic Association and the Capital Athletic Conference.Â
Buoyed by the first-place sweep of the men's and women's cross country championships in October, UC Santa Cruz scored 72.7% of possible points in the thirteen conference sports they participated in. UC Santa Cruz placed fourth in the men's standings with 62.5% of their possible points, and were second overall (80%) in the women's standings, helped by runner-up finishes in soccer, basketball, indoor track and outdoor track.
Christopher Newport won the Richard C. Cook Award for the top overall program in the Conference, their first overall trophy since 2017-18. The Captains had ten league titles and eight runner-up finishes. Salisbury was third and Mary Washington placed fourth.
