Barba late goal gives men's soccer 1-0 overtime win over Bethesda

Banana Slugs win second straight game
 Will Barba played all 103 minutes of Saturday's soccer game against Bethesda, and when his team needed him on offense, he delivered big.
The towering defender nodded home the gamewinner off Cole Simes's corner kick to give UC Santa Cruz the dramatic 1-0 double overtime victory.
It was the second-straight shutout win for the Banana Slugs, who improve to 3-5-2.
Overall, UC Santa Cruz had a 13-8 shot advantage over the Flames, who fell to 4-4-2. Goalkeeper Connor Branson had three saves in his first action of the year, including one from a free kick in the first overtime to keep Bethesda off the scoreboard.
UC Santa Cruz has a two-game road trip next week, beginning Wednesday night at Redlands.
