#21 Blues Defeat #32 Banana Slugs in Regular Season Finale

WALLA WALLA (4-15) – The ITA/NCAA Division III #32 Banana Slugs played their final team match of the regular season as they took on #21 Whitman College in Walla Walla. The Blues won all three doubles matches that were played and won 7-2.
In their last match, the Banana Slugs lost 5-4 to NCAA Division II member Holy Names University on Monday in Santa Cruz while the Blues won 9-0 over Whitworth University in Walla Walla yesterday.
The Blues won all three doubles matches that were played and four singles matches while the Banana Slugs won two: the #1 singles match between Chad Le Duff of UC Santa Cruz and Zach Hewlin of Whitman, and the #3 singles match between Chad Stone of the Banana Slugs and Gary Ho of the Blues, which Stone won Ho 6-4, 6-3. The tightest singles match of the day was the #2 singles match between Magnus Ibh of the Banana Slugs and Ben Kirsh of the Blues. Kirsh defeated Ibh 6-3, 4-6, 6-4.
The Banana Slugs will take part in 118th Annual Ojai Tennis Tournament which will take place from April 25th-29th.
