It was another tough week for the Slugs having to face CSU East Bay (ranked #12) again on Tuesday, September 18^th.   The Slugs fought hard in 3 close games (25-30, 21-30, 25-30) but couldn't overtake the Pioneers. 

Leading for UCSC was Senior Outside Hitter Gillian McGraw, who had 9 kills, 4 digs and 1 block and Senior Outside Hitter and team captain Nicole Payne, who also had 9 kills, 11 digs and 4 blocks.
