SANTA CRUZ, Ca. – The UC Santa Cruz women's volleyball team had four student-athletes named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Teams, announced by the organization on Tuesday, December 16th.
 
UC Santa Cruz saw Kate Lau, Olly Gordon, Margo Melgoza, and Gabia Paliulis earn Academic All-District honors with all honorees earning over a 3.55 GPA.
 
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's Volleyball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and must have competed in 90 percent of the institution's matches played or started in at least 66 percent of the institution's matches
