PERSONAL: Nicole chose UCSC for the beautiful campus and area and the volleyball team. What she likes best about Santa Cruz is the beach and the community. Her hobbies are sewing, playing sports, painting, drawing, and hiking. Her favorite food is cornbread and she enjoys listening to alternative, rap, country, and Christian rock. Her favorite athlete is Kerri Walsh and her favorite movie is Anchor Man. She was born and raised in San Jose, CA. Her parents names are Jerry and Mona Payne and have six siblings, Heather, Myles, Melissa, Stephanie, and Gena. Is interested in working with children in the future in either social work or counseling. Also enjoys spending time with her niece Layla.
