Joining the UC Santa Cruz staff in 2024, Linda Turkstra has been playing tennis competitively for over 30 years. She is passionate about helping students excel in both the physical and mental aspects of the game and fostering tennis as a means not only to grow into a well rounded player, but also a well rounded person. 
 
For seven years, coach Turkstra has been teaching tennis at Almaden Valley Athletic Club in San Jose. She is also a coach and volunteer for the San Jose Unified School District and has completed training for High Performance Player Development with the Norcal Tennis Academy.
 
Coach Turkstra played four years at Division III member Hope College in Holland, Michigan. She graduated in 1993 with Bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Japanese.
