Michelle Hernandez brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role as Assistant Coach for the UC Santa Cruz women's soccer team. With a robust background in coaching, Michelle previously served at Sacramento City College where she made a significant contribution over five years. Rising from assistant coach to associate head coach in 2022, she played a pivotal role in leading the program to its first playoff appearance in two decades.
Michelle holds a bachelor's degree in nutrition from Sacramento State and a master's degree in exercise science from the United States Sports Academy. Her educational background compliments her practical coaching experience, making her a valuable asset to the team.
