At UCSC: Callie’s major is Environmental Studies and Biology. She love learning about the environment and ways that society can help it.

HIGH SCHOOL: She graduated from Cajon High School where she played varsity tennis all four years earning one league champ letter, 3 chevrons, captain's award and All-League patch senior year. Spent summers in high school working as a lifeguard.

Callie is the daughter of Michael and Darla Matthews. She has two older sisters(Fallon and Melissa). When not playing tennis she love "relaxing on the beach and surfing with my boyfriend along the California coast." She also enjoys hiking, cliff jumping, drawing, running, traveling, doing henna, and rock climbing. Matthews hopes to one day have a career helping the environment and working outside.
