
Vicente Wins 3m Dive as Slugs Close Gap on Day Two of PCSC Championships

LOS ANGELES, Ca. – The UC Santa Cruz women's swim and dive team showed well on day two of the PCSC Championships, closing the gap on CSU East Bay as they ended the day with 606 points with CSUEB ahead with 635.5. The Banana Slugs efforts were highlighted by first year Paige Vicente who took home gold in the 3m dive.

- 3m Dive: The Banana Slugs started the day off with a gold medal performance out of Paige Vicente along with a third place finish from Briseis Valenzuela.
- 200 Free Relay: UC Santa Cruz's Maya Chan, Fiona Lei, Medha Reghuraman, and Kaitlyn Armstrong combined for a time of 1:35.94 to finish in fifth place.
- 100 Fly: Kirsten Boyle and Medha Reghuraman went 7-8 in the 100 fly, touching the wall in 57.10s and 58.16s while Maya Chan, Fiona Lei, and Siena Ancona, finished in 13th, 15th, and 16th.
- 400 IM: Lily Wolfinger took sixth overall, turning in a 4:32.20 while Sadie Breen took 14th in 4:40.54.
- 200 Free: Katy Hawk turned in a 1:52.32 to take fourth place in the 200 free while Maya Garcia-Hale took 11th with a time of 1:54.39.
- 400 Medley Relay: The Slugs closed out the action with a fifth place performance as Medha Reghuraman, Maya Chan, Kirten Boyle, and Katy Hawk combined for a time of 3:54.38.
