RICHARDSON, Tx. – UC Santa Cruz women's basketball showcased their determination but ultimately fell 75-54 to UT Dallas. Despite the final score, the Banana Slugs put together strong stretches on both ends of the floor, highlighted by standout individual performances and defensive intensity.

How It Happened
After a challenging start, UCSC rallied in the second quarter, outscoring Texas-
Dallas 18-15 to cut into the lead. The Banana Slugs found their rhythm offensively, moving the ball effectively and creating high-percentage opportunities. Emilie Ngo was a consistent force throughout, finishing with 18 points on an efficient 8-of-10 shooting, including two three-pointers while adding four rebounds and three steals.

Jenna Gorton brought energy in the paint, recording 12 points and seven rebounds while going a perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line. Alexa Litchev added seven points and four rebounds, while Claire Galbo chipped in seven of her own, six rebounds, and a three-pointer. UCSC's bench also contributed valuable minutes, helping to keep the intensity high on both ends of the court.
