SANTA CRUZ, Ca. - The UC Santa Cruz Banana Slugs are proud to announce Delia Mack as the Associate Head Coach for Men's and Women's Cross Country and Track and Field. Mack joins the Banana Slugs coaching staff after serving as an assistant at Salisbury University in Maryland. 

"We're all so excited to have Delia joining us here at UCSC. Her experience as a student-athlete, diverse professional experience within Athletics, and passion for student-athletes really stuck out during the process, and we know our programs will benefit greatly from her being on our team!" said Director of Athletics and Recreation, Chris Spells. 

"We're incredibly excited to have Delia join the Banana Slug Cross Country and Track & Field Staff this Fall. During the hiring process, Delia's experience as both a student-athlete and as a coach made her an ideal candidate for us. Delia has experience in a number of different events as a former multi-eventer and will be a great addition to the program. Having coached against her the last few seasons in the C2C Conference, I know we are excited to have her positivity and excitement on our side this season." - said head coach David Klech.
