SANTA CRUZ, Ca. – On Wednesday morning, the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) announced the 2024 Women's Soccer Awards and All-Conference Teams. UC Santa Cruz women's soccer team earned eight All-Conference nods, including four First Team members, four Second Team members, and the 2024 C2C Rookie of the Year.
 
Leading the way for UC Santa Cruz is the C2C Rookie of the Year, Ainsley Gove, who ended the regular season with a .857 save percentage, allowing just five goals for a .63 goals against average in her 10 games played. Along with the Rookie of the Year honors, Gove earns Second Team All-C2C honors.
 
The Banana Slugs First Team All-C2C selections featured Amanda Scott, Camille Anneet, Sydney Boyd, and Kristi Truong.  Camille Anneet and Sydney Boyd were catalyst for the the Slugs offense with Anneet recording five goals and five assists while Boyd scored four goals and dished out seven assists. Amanda Scott also contributed in essential ways, patrolling the midfield to earn possession for UCSC while striking the back of the net five times with two assists. A large part of the defense's success this season can be attributed to Truong as the junior defender played over 70 minutes in all 14 contests this season, starting each one to anchor the team's defense that allowed 14 goals on the year for a .93 goals against average.
 
In addition to the four First Team honors, the Banana Slugs earned four Second Team nods in Chelyn Ackerman, Tatiana Fernandez, Emily De Los Santos, and Ainsley Gove. Ackerman also served as a key piece in the offense for the Slugs this season, scoring six goals with three assists while Fernandez chimed in for three goals and one assist while working through the midfield with Scott. De Los Santos aided the defense, contributing to the team's heavy pressure, holding opponents to 8.3 shots per game. As mentioned, Gove earned her Second Team honors between the pipes, playing 709 minutes on the pitch, recording 30 saves with five goals allowed.
