Banana Slugs win all six singles in straight sets

WHITTIER - UC Santa Cruz bounced back in a big way in their second match of Spring Break, playing nearly flawless in a 9-0 sweep at Whittier.

After three doubles wins, UC Santa Cruz didn't drop a set in the single matches, Natalie Sprenger, Ines Pelvang and Jolie Seemayer each helped win their doubles matches, with Julia Chiaradia Azzi, Daniela Christian and Angelina Powers stepping in and winning at No 3, No. 5 and No. 6 singles to complete the sweep.
The Banana Slugs (5-4) finish their Southern California trip on Saturday morning at Occidental.
