Box Score FREDERICKSBURG, VA-  In an exciting back-and-forth contest, No. 22 UC Santa Cruz was swept by Salisbury 3-0 (27-29- 22-25, 24-26) in the Coast-To-Coast Tournament semifinals.

The Seagulls (20-7) finished with a .163 hitting percentage compared to UC Santa Cruz's .115. The Seagulls also had a 48-37 kill advantage.

Set One had 16 ties. The Banana Slugs had set point at 27-26 before Salisbury finished with the last three points to take the set. The second set had no lead bigger than three points before the Seagulls took the set  by holding off UC Santa Cruz's late comeback.

Set Three saw the Banana Slugs up at 9-4, but the Seagulls tied it at 11. Salisbury then had the lead until  Audrey Gilbert's ace tied it at 23-all. The Banana Slugs had set point at 24-23, but once again Salisbury had three straight kills to come back and take the match.

Samantha Taylor, the Conference player of the Year, led the Banana Slugs with 14 kills and four total blocks. Sydney Ahrendt added 9 kills.

UC Santa Cruz plays Christopher Newport in the 3rd place game at 10:30am Pacific.
